[광양/CTN]하성매 기자= 이현주 관광과장은 "광양전통숯불구이축제는 광양의 맛과 흥을 즐기면서 지역의 역사문화와 관광명소까지 만날 수 있는 가을 여행의 좋은 출발점"이라며 "축제장을 찾은 방문객들이 당일 여행부터 여유로운 일정까지 각자의 취향에 맞게 광양 곳곳을 둘러보길 바란다"라고 밝혔다.
광양시(시장 박성현)는 광양읍 서천변 일원에서 열리는 제22회 광양전통숯불구이축제를 중심으로 지역 관광명소와 가을 풍경을 두루 즐길 수 있는 맞춤형 광양 여행 코스를 제안했다고 발표했다. 이번 축제는 '광양의 맛! 사람으로 잇다'라는 주제로 광양불고기 등 대표 먹거리와 다채로운 공연·체험 프로그램을 선보인다.
축제 기간 중에는 광양불고기 테마관과 숯 관련 체험 부스가 운영되며, 광양읍 일대에서는 대규모 '2026 광양원님행차 재연행사'가 펼쳐져 지역의 역사와 문화를 직접 경험할 수 있다. 이와 함께 제1회 광양 관광의 날 기념식, 관광잇길 스탬프투어, 가든파티, 빈백 영화제 등 방문객을 위한 이벤트도 풍성하게 펼쳐진다.
또한 축제장 인근 서천변의 가을꽃 전시를 비롯해 구봉산 정상의 파노라마 워크, 배알도 섬 정원, 전남미술관, Park1538 광양 등 광양 특유의 자연과 산업, 예술이 어우러진 관광명소와 연계하여 방문객들에게 한층 확장된 가을 여행의 즐거움을 선사할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
