전남광주통합특별시 소방본부는 조선대학교 해오름관에서 전남광주 통합 후 처음으로 대형 복합재난 발생에 대비한 '2026년 통합특별시 긴급구조 종합훈련'을 실시했다고 발표했다. 이번 훈련은 시설 폭발에 따른 대형 화재 및 건축물 붕괴, 다수 사상자 발생 등 복합적인 재난 상황을 설정하여 진행됐다.
훈련에는 전남광주소방본부, 동부소방서, 경찰, 군부대, 동구청, 의료기관, 한국전력공사 등 25개 기관·단체에서 470여 명의 인원과 장비 60여 대가 대거 투입됐다. 현장지휘대 및 통제단 가동을 시작으로 붕괴 건물 인명 구조, 다수 사상자 응급의료 대응, 에너지저장장치(ESS) 화재 진압 및 산불 확산 방지 등 기관 간 협업 체계를 다각도로 검증했다.
전남광주소방본부는 앞으로도 유관기관과의 유기적인 공조 시스템을 지속적으로 강화하여 대형 재난 상황에서 시민의 안전을 지키는 최첨단 대응 인프라를 정비해 나갈 계획이라고 밝혔다.
