[전북/CTN]최동주 기자= 진형민 전북특별자치도소방본부장은 "위험물 사고는 작은 관리 소홀도 대형 화재로 이어질 수 있는 만큼 사전 예방이 무엇보다 중요하다"라며 "이번 조례 개정을 계기로 산업현장의 위험요인을 줄이고 도민의 생명과 재산을 보호하는 데 최선을 다하겠다"라고 밝혔다.
전북특별자치도소방본부(본부장 진형민)는 리튬 등 화재 위험성이 높은 물질의 안전관리를 대폭 강화하고 산업 현장의 사고를 사전에 차단하기 위해 '전북특별자치도 위험물 안전관리 조례 일부개정 조례안'을 마련했다고 10월 13일 발표했다. 이번 개정안은 소방청의 개정 조례준칙을 반영하여 지정수량 미만 위험물에 대한 체계적인 관리체계를 구축하는 데 목적을 둔다.
전북도의회 문화안전소방위원회 김성수 의원이 대표 발의한 이번 개정안은 자연발화성 및 금수성 물질 보관 건축물의 바닥 방수 구조화, 환기 및 방화유리 설치 의무화, 불활성기체 봉입장치 및 방수성 피복설비 갖춤 등을 골자로 한다. 아울러 보행거리 20m 이내 소형수동식 소화기 2개 이상 배치 등 초기 소화설비 기준을 엄격히 적용한다.
전북소방본부는 설비·용기 개방 작업 시 건조 환경 조성을 의무화하고, 조례 위반 시 과태료를 부과할 수 있는 단속 근거를 마련하여 화재 안전망을 한층 견고히 다질 계획이라고 밝혔다.
