2027년 국가예산 확보 사활, 국회문 두드린다

이원택 전북특별자치도지사, 29일 국회 방문해 예결위 여·야 핵심 인사 연쇄 면담
K-로봇 피지컬 AI 실증센터(400억) 및 새만금 신항 배후부지 재정사업 전환 등 건의

[전북/CTN]최동주 기자= 이원택 전북특별자치도지사는 "내년은 현대차그룹의 9조 원 투자가 지역 산업으로 확실히 뿌리내릴 수 있느냐가 걸린 중요한 시기인 만큼, 로봇·AI 실증기반과 트라이포트 물류망 등 핵심사업의 예산 확보에 전북의 명운을 걸어야 한다"라고 강조했다.

이어 "상임위 예비심사부터 예결위 소위심사까지 단계별 일정에 맞춰 도와 시·군, 지역 국회의원이 하나로 움직이는 총력 대응 체계를 가동하겠다"라며 "전북의 미래를 좌우할 사업이 한 건이라도 더 최종 예산에 반영될 수 있도록 예산이 확정되는 마지막 순간까지 국회에서 뛰겠다"라고 밝혔다.

전북특별자치도는 이원택 도지사가 9월 29일 국회를 찾아 예결위원장 및 여·야 예결위 간사 등 예산 핵심 인사를 잇달아 만나 현대차그룹의 9조 원 규모 투자를 지원하고, 전북을 피지컬 AI 산업의 전초기지로 도약시키기 위한 2027년 국가예산 반영을 요청했다고 발표했다. 이번 방문은 정부예산안 심사를 앞두고 국회 단계에서 미반영 사업을 되살리기 위해 추진됐다.

이 지사는 이광재 예결위원장, 권칠승 더불어민주당 정책위의장, 정태호 민주당 예결위 간사, 유상범 국민의힘 예결위 간사 등을 면담했다. 이 자리에서 K-로봇 피지컬 AI 실증·공유센터 구축(400억 원), 새만금항 신항 1-1단계 배후부지 재정사업 전환 및 기본조사 용역비(10억 원), 새만금 남북 3축 도로 건설 예비타당성조사 신속 추진 등 지역 핵심 현안을 설명하고 지원을 요청했다.

전북특별자치도는 국회 예산 심사 일정에 맞춰 지자체와 지역 국회의원이 연계한 총력 대응 체계를 가동해 미래 신산업 및 새만금 인프라 구축 예산 확보에 끝까지 사활을 걸 방침이라고 밝혔다.

He continued, "We will operate a all-out response system where the province, cities/counties, and regional National Assembly members move as one according to the step-by-step schedule from standing committee preliminary reviews to Budget and Accounts Committee subcommittee reviews," emphasizing, "I will run in the National Assembly until the last moment when the budget is finalized so that even one more project that will determine Jeonbuk's future can be reflected in the final budget."

Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province announced that Governor Lee Won-taeg visited the National Assembly on September 29 to meet key budget officials sequentially, including the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts Chairman and bipartisan floor leaders, asking for 2027 national budget reflections to support Hyundai Motor Group's 9 trillion won investment and leap Jeonbuk into an outpost for physical AI industry. This visit was arranged to revive unreflected projects in the government budget bill during the National Assembly phase.

Governor Lee met with key figures including Budget Committee Chairman Lee Kwang-jae, Democratic Party Policy Committee Chairman Kwon Chil-seung, Democratic Party Budget Committee Leader Jung Tae-ho, and People Power Party Budget Committee Leader Yoo Sang-bum. In these meetings, he explained key regional issues and requested support, including the K-Robot Physical AI Demonstration and Sharing Center construction (40 billion won), conversion of the Saemangeum Port New Port Phase 1-1 hinterland into a public sector project with preliminary survey costs (1 billion won), and swift preliminary feasibility studies for the Saemangeum South-North Axis 3 Road construction.

Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province plans to operate an all-out response system linking local governments and regional National Assembly members in line with the Assembly's budget review schedule, committing all efforts to securing budgets for future new industries and Saemangeum infrastructure construction.
