[익산/CTN]최동주 기자= 박성일 익산시 문화유산과장은 "이번 여행상품은 문화도시를 통해 성장한 주민들이 세계유산과 지역의 자원을 연결해 금마만의 여행을 만들어가는 첫걸음"이라며 "주민이 만들고 운영하는 여행이 지속 가능한 지역 관광으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 지원하겠다"라고 밝혔다.
익산시는 익산시문화도시지원센터와 함께 세계유산인 미륵사지·왕궁리유적과 금마마을을 잇는 체류형 여행상품 '고도(古都) 금마 마을여행' 4종을 오는 10월 17일부터 31일까지 시범운영한다고 10월 8일 발표했다. 이번 상품은 지역 주민과 활동가들이 직접 기획부터 운영까지 참여해 단순 관람에 그치던 관광 객들을 마을 상권으로 유인하도록 설계됐다.
시범운영 기간에는 ▲10월 17일 '왕궁리 노을요가 리트릿'을 시작으로 ▲24~25일 재연배우와 골목투어가 어우러진 '서동선화와 떠나는 백제여행(1박 2일)' ▲31일 당일 코스 투어 및 백제의복·국악공연이 결합된 '미륵사지 금마다과상'이 차례로 개최된다. 해설, 공예, 다도, 요가, 식음 등 각 분야의 지역 인재들이 프로그램을 직접 이끌 예정이다.
익산시는 시범운영 결과를 토대로 오는 11월 상품 구성을 보완한 뒤 향후 주민여행사 및 온라인 플랫폼(OTA)과 연계해 자립형 마을관광 모델로 발전시킬 방침이다. 시범운영 상품은 네이버 스마트스토어 등을 통해 정가 대비 50% 이상 할인된 가격으로 예약할 수 있다.

The upcoming pilot lineup includes: the 'Wanggung-ri Sunset Yoga Retreat' on October 17; a 2-day, 1-night 'Baekje Travel with Seodong and Seonhwa' incorporating Hanok stays and historical reenactments on October 24-25; and the 'Mireuksaji Geumma Tea Set' featuring traditional Baekje clothing, Korean classical music, and moonlight guided tours on October 31.
Iksan City plans to refine the itineraries in November based on pilot feedback, establishing a resident-led travel agency model and expanding booking distribution to online travel platforms (OTAs).
