[김제/CTN]최동주 기자= 정성주 김제시장은 "축제 개막을 앞둔 마지막 점검인 만큼 안전사고 예방에 대한 조치를 철저히 하고, 프로그램 운영부터 이동 동선, 편의시설까지 세심하게 살펴야 한다"라며 "올해 새롭게 구성한 공간과 프로그램이 방문객들에게 충분한 즐거움을 줄 수 있도록 미비한 사항은 개막 전까지 보완하고 마지막까지 준비에 최선을 다해달라"고 당부했다.
전북 김제시는 28일 벽골제 일원에서 제28회 김제지평선축제 현장상황 보고회를 열고 개막을 앞둔 최종 준비 상황을 종합 점검했다고 발표했다. 이번 보고회에는 정성주 시장과 간부 공무원, 경찰·소방 등 유관기관 관계자들이 참석해 축제장 시설물과 관람객 동선, 편의시설 및 안전 대책을 세밀하게 살폈다.
시는 방문객 밀집이 예상되는 쌍룡광장 주변 등 주요 구간의 혼잡 관리 대책과 일방통행 유도 방안, 경찰·소방과의 협조 체계를 중점적으로 다뤘다. 아울러 안내소 확대 운영, 외국어 안내물 및 QR코드, 저상 셔틀버스 등 편의성을 배가하고 바가지요금 관리, 식품위생, 행사장 청결 등 관람객 수용 태세 정비에도 나섰다.
