전남광주통합특별시 농업기술센터는 본격적인 벼 수확 및 수매 철을 맞아 농가의 안전한 쌀 출하를 돕고 브랜드 신뢰도를 높이기 위해 잔류농약 및 쌀 품질검사 서비스를 적극 활용해 줄 것을 당부했다. 해당 검사는 농가 피해를 최소화하고 지역 농산물의 고품질화를 도모하고자 연중 실시되고 있다.

광주 관내 5개 자치구에 농지를 둔 농업인은 누구나 무료로 이용할 수 있다. 수매 예정인 벼 시료 0.5~1kg을 지퍼백 등에 담아 광산구 평동 소재 농업기술센터 농업환경종합분석실로 방문 접수하면 잔류농약 463개 항목 분석과 단백질 함량, 품위 검사 결과를 받아볼 수 있다.

농업기술센터는 사전 검사를 통해 출하 부적합에 따른 농가의 불이익을 예방하는 한편, 한층 업그레이드된 안전성 검증 체계를 바탕으로 광주 쌀의 시장 경쟁력을 끌어올릴 방침이라고 밝혔다.

Any farmer cultivating land across the five autonomous districts of Gwangju can access the service free of charge. By submitting a 0.5–1 kg sample of unhusked or milled rice to the Agricultural Environment Analysis Laboratory in Pyeongdong, Gwangsan-gu, farmers receive analyses covering 463 pesticide residue items alongside protein content and physical grading.

The Agricultural Technology Center expects to minimize financial losses for farmers caused by non-compliance during official acquisition while strengthening the market competitiveness of locally produced Gwangju rice.
