국가데이터처는 2026년 10월 20일부터 11월 4일까지 전국의 약 23만 2천 가구를 대상으로 '2026년 하반기 지역별고용조사'를 실시한다고 발표했다. 지역별고용조사는 시·군·구 단위의 고용률과 실업률 등 지자체 고용정책 수립의 기초가 되는 핵심 통계를 생산하기 위해 연 2회 추진되는 국가 통계 조사다.
조사 대상 표본 가구는 과학적 통계기법으로 선정됐으며, 조사원의 방문 조사에 응답하거나 우편 안내문의 참여번호를 활용해 인터넷으로 직접 참여할 수 있다. 인터넷 조사는 10월 18일부터 10월 26일까지 9일간 우선적으로 운영된다. 이번 조사를 통해 수집된 시군구 주요고용지표는 2027년 2월, 취업자의 산업·직업별 특성은 4월, 맞벌이 및 1인 가구 취업 현황은 6월에 순차적으로 공표될 예정이다.
