[소방청/CTN]가요진 기자= 최용철 소방청장은 "이번 인공지능(AI) 전문가 인력 자원(인력풀)은 현장을 가장 잘 아는 소방공무원들이 전문 기술역량을 활용해 업무상 문제를 직접 해결하는 실무 중심의 협업체계"라며 "현장에서 필요로 하는 인공지능(AI) 서비스가 실제 업무 개선으로 이어지고, 충분한 검증을 거쳐 전국 소방관서로 확산될 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다"라고 밝혔다.
소방청(청장 최용철)은 인공지능(AI) 기술을 활용해 재난 현장의 대응력을 획기적으로 강화하고 소방행정의 효율성을 극대화하기 위해 AI 개발 및 활용 역량을 갖춘 전국 소방공무원 40명을 선발, '소방 AI 전문가 인력풀'을 구성하고 현장 밀착형 AI 서비스 개발을 본격 추진한다고 발표했다.
이번 인력풀은 전문 자격증 보유자, 공모전 입상자, 모바일 앱 및 업무 자동화 프로그램 개발 경험자 등 실제 구현 능력이 검증된 소방관들로 엄선됐다. 이들은 화재·구조·구급 지원, 소방대원 안전관리, 교육훈련, 데이터 분석, 반복 행정업무 자동화 등 일선 현장에서 시급히 요구되는 과제들을 직접 기획·개발할 예정이다.
소방청은 현장 요구사항 분석부터 서비스 설계, 실증 테스트까지 전 과정을 내부 전문가 협업으로 진행하여 외부 개발업체 의존도를 낮출 방침이다. 아울러 정보보호 및 보안성 검토를 거쳐 활용성이 입증된 우수 AI 서비스를 전국 시도 소방본부와 소방관서에 단계적으로 보급할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

The selected personnel were rigorously evaluated based on practical implementation skills, including professional credentials, competition awards, and prior software or mobile application development experience. These experts will directly design and construct AI tools covering disaster response support, firefighter safety management, education and training, data analytics, and routine administrative automation.
By leveraging internal talent, the National Fire Agency aims to establish a self-sustaining ecosystem that reduces reliance on external vendors. Following comprehensive security reviews and on-site testing, proven AI solutions will be phased in across regional fire headquarters and stations nationwide.
