[인천/CTN]주대호 기자= 윤은주 인천시 환경안전과장은 "취약계층은 하루의 대부분을 실내에서 생활하는 만큼 실내공기질 관리가 곧 건강과 직결된다"라며 "이번 포럼에서 수렴된 전문가와 현장의 소중한 의견들을 바탕으로 유관기관과의 협력을 더욱 강화해, 인천의 취약계층이 보다 안심하고 생활할 수 있는 건강한 주거환경을 조성해 나가겠다"라고 밝혔다.
인천광역시(시장 박찬대)는 10월 1일 제물포구 하버파크호텔에서 '취약계층 환경보건: 실내공기질을 중심으로'를 주제로 '2026 인천광역시 환경보건포럼'을 개최했다고 발표했다. 이번 포럼은 하루의 대부분을 실내에서 보내는 취약계층의 공기질 노출 위험과 건강 영향을 점검하고, 인천 지역의 실내공기질 관리 정책과 우수 주거환경 개선 성과를 공유하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 행사에는 최원준 인천시 환경보건센터장, 조부현 인천광역자활센터장, 최여울 인천연구원 연구위원, 황성호 용인대학교 교수 등 환경보건 전문가와 관계 공무원, 시민 등 50여 명이 참석했다. 포럼에서는 취약계층 환경보건 정책의 중요성과 실내공기질의 건강 영향에 대한 주제 발제와 함께, 신연아 인천시 환경보건센터 사무국장의 '환경보건 안심집 만들기 사업' 현장 성과 발표가 이어졌다.
종합토론에 참석한 전문가들은 인천 지역 주거환경 개선사업의 성과를 평가하고, 지속 가능한 사업 확산을 위해서는 정책과 현장을 긴밀히 연결하는 유관기관 간 유기적 협력체계 구축이 핵심 과제라는 점에 의견을 모았다.

This forum was organized to examine exposure risks and health impacts of air quality on vulnerable groups who spend most of their day indoors, and to share Incheon's indoor air quality management policies and outstanding living environment improvement achievements.
About 50 attendees, including environmental health experts such as Choi Won-jun, Director of Incheon Environmental Health Center, Jo Bu-hyeon, Director of Incheon Self-Sufficiency Center, Choi Yeo-ul, Research Fellow at Incheon Institute, and Hwang Seong-ho, Professor at Yongin University, as well as related officials and citizens, showed high interest. The forum featured presentations on the importance of environmental health policies and the health impacts of indoor air quality, along with on-site achievements of the 'Environmental Health Safe House Project' presented by Shin Yeon-ah, Secretary General of the Incheon Environmental Health Center.
