인천광역시(시장 박찬대)는 9월 29일 시청 본관 대회의실에서 군·구 의료급여 담당 공무원 및 의료급여관리사를 대상으로 역량강화 및 안전교육을 실시했다고 발표했다. 이번 교육은 업무 특성상 대민 현장을 자주 마주하는 담당자들의 응급상황 대처 능력을 높이고, 자살 위기 대상자의 특성을 이해해 적절한 대응 방안을 체득할 수 있도록 추진됐다.

안전교육 세션에서는 심폐소생술(CPR) 실습과 감염병 예방 교육이 병행되어 참석자들이 응급상황 발생 시 신속히 가동할 수 있는 기본 대응 방법을 직접 익히고 실무 감염병 예방수칙을 점검했다. 이어진 역량강화 교육에서는 위기 대상자의 심리적 특성과 위험 신호를 포착하는 방법, 상황별 대처 요령을 중점적으로 다뤘다.

현재 인천시에는 32명의 의료급여관리사가 활동 중이다. 이들은 의료급여 수급권자를 대상으로 한 상담 및 교육을 비롯해 재가 의료급여 서비스 연계, 복약 이행 여부 모니터링 등 체계적인 건강관리 지원 업무를 수행하고 있다. 인천시는 앞으로도 현장 대응력을 최우선으로 한 실무 중심 교육을 계속 이어갈 방침이라고 밝혔다.

Incheon Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Chan-dae) announced on the 29th that it conducted capacity building and safety training for county and district medical benefit officials and medical benefit case managers at the Main City Hall Conference Room. This training was promoted to improve the emergency response capabilities of officials who frequently face the public due to the nature of their work, and to understand the characteristics of targets in suicide crisis to acquire appropriate response measures.

In the safety training session, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) practice and infectious disease prevention education were conducted in parallel. Participants directly learned basic response methods that can be quickly operated in the event of an emergency, and thoroughly checked infectious disease prevention rules to be observed in practical processes. In the following capacity building training, methods of catching psychological characteristics and risk signals of targets in crisis and coping methods by situation were focused on.

Currently, 32 medical benefit case managers are active in Incheon City. They perform systematic health care support work such as counseling and education for medical benefit recipients, linking in-home medical benefit services, and monitoring medication compliance. Incheon City plans to continue to promote training necessary for field practice in the future.
