[인천/CTN]주대호 기자= 남영희 인천시 균형발전부시장은 "청년정책 환경이 빠르게 변화하는 만큼 인천의 지역적 특성에 부합하는 공고한 정책 기반을 갖추는 것이 중요하다"라며 "연구 결과와 현장의 목소리를 세밀하게 검토해 인천 청년들이 체감할 수 있는 실효성 있는 지원 체계를 완성하겠다"라고 밝혔다.
인천광역시(시장 박찬대)는 9월 30일 시청에서 '청년재단 설립 및 청년기금 조성 타당성 연구용역' 최종보고회를 개최하고 향후 정책 추진을 위한 발전 방향을 논의했다고 발표했다. 이번 연구는 일자리, 주거, 복지 등 분야별로 추진되는 청년정책을 유기적으로 연결하고 중장기적인 집행력을 확보할 전담 지원체계 구축의 타당성을 검토하기 위해 진행됐다.
이날 보고회에서는 인천 청년정책 현황 분석, 청년재단 설립 타당성 및 주요 기능, 청년기금 조성·운영 방안 등이 심도 있게 다뤄졌다. 앞서 인천시는 청년 당사자의 의견을 모으고자 청년공간 유유기지에서 토론회를 여는 등 청년정책조정위원회, 청년정책네트워크, 전문가들의 현장 제언을 지속적으로 수렴해 왔다.
인천시는 이번 최종보고회와 현장 토론회에서 수렴된 의견을 최종 연구 결과에 종합적으로 반영할 계획이다. 시는 재단 설립과 기금 조성의 실현 가능성을 점검하고 기존 청년정책 전달체계와의 효율적인 역할 분담 방안을 면밀히 검토해 나갈 방침이라고 밝혔다.
