[병무청/CTN]가요진 기자= 홍소영 병무청장은 "직원들의 AI 활용 경험이 병무행정을 한 걸음 더 나아지게 하는 힘"이라며 "현장 의견을 바탕으로 적극 지원하겠다"라고 밝혔다. 이어 "실·국장부터 AI 활용에 관심을 갖고 직원들의 시도를 적극 지지해 달라"라며 "오늘 자리가 일회성에 그치지 않고, 현장의 의견이 실제 업무 개선으로 이어지도록 끝까지 챙겨 달라"라고 당부했다.
병무청은 9월 30일 정부대전청사에서 행정안전부 AI 역량 인증을 받은 직원들인 'AI 챔피언'이 함께하는 「AI 챔피언 간담회」를 개최했다고 발표했다. 이번 간담회는 AI 병무행정 혁신이 현장 담당자들의 일하는 방식을 실질적으로 개선해야 한다는 문제의식에서 출발해, 직원들의 생생한 목소리를 직접 청취하기 위해 마련됐다.
간담회에 참석한 AI 챔피언들은 실무 현장에서 AI를 적용하며 얻은 구체적인 성과와 경험을 공유했다. 한 참석자는 "반복적인 문서 및 자료 작업에 AI를 활용해 처리 시간을 크게 단축했다"라며 "줄어든 시간만큼 민원 응대와 적극 행정 등 핵심 업무에 더욱 집중할 수 있었다"라고 평가했다. 아울러 동료 간 활용 노하우 공유 및 부서별 실무에 맞춘 AI 교육 프로그램 확대 필요성도 제시됐다.

Another participant suggested expanding training programs tailored to division-level practical work and sharing personal utilization methods with colleagues.
