[대구/CTN]이수현 기자= 추경호 대구시장은 "의료시설과 유사한 첨단 의료장비를 갖춘 환경에서 실전 역량을 키우는 연수원이 건립돼 많은 국내외 의료인들이 대구를 찾을 것으로 기대된다"라며 "앞으로도 대구가 국가 의료산업 거점은 물론 글로벌 메디시티로 도약하도록 AI 융합 바이오헬스케어 인프라를 확충해 나가겠다"라고 밝혔다.
보건의료인 국가시험을 지원하고 임상 술기 교육을 수행하는 '의료기술시험연수원'이 9월 29일 오후 대구경북첨단의료복합단지에서 개소했다. 이날 개소식에는 추경호 대구시장을 비롯해 보건복지부, 의료계, 학계 및 유관 기관 관계자 등 250여 명이 참석해 건립 경과보고, 비전 선포식, 시설 투어를 진행했다.의료기술시험연수원은 보건복지부와 대구시가 2016년부터 2026년까지 총사업비 825억 원을 투입해 올해 4월 준공한 국내 첫 종합 시험·연수 시설이다. 지하 2층, 지상 7층 규모로 건립됐으며, 대구경북첨단의료산업진흥재단이 운영을 담당한다.
연수원은 실제 병원 환경을 구현한 '연수센터'와 대규모 컴퓨터 시험장 등을 갖춘 '시험센터'로 구성돼 소속과 상관없이 전국 의료 인력이 최신 의료 술기를 반복 훈련할 수 있는 개방형 공간으로 운영된다.
대구시는 연수원을 글로벌 교류 및 첨단의료산업 육성의 거점으로 활용할 계획이다. 해외 의료인 연수 유치와 국제 학술대회 개최는 물론, 디지털헬스케어 의료기기 실증 및 지역 의료헬스케어 산업 고도화 지원 사업과 연계해 지역 기업의 판로 개척과 기술 개발을 적극 지원할 방침이라고 밝혔다.
