[영천/CTN]이수현 기자= 김병삼 영천시장은 "제6기 지역사회보장계획이 영천의 복지 수준을 한 단계 높이고 주민의 삶에 실질적인 변화를 만들어가는 밑그림이 되길 바란다"라며 "민관이 서로의 경험과 전문성을 공유하고 힘을 모아 계획에 담긴 과제들이 현장에서 내실 있게 추진될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"라고 밝혔다.
영천시(시장 김병삼)는 9월 29일 영천상공회의소 3층 회의실에서 대표협의체 위원 26명이 참석한 가운데 '영천시지역사회보장협의체 제2차 대표협의체 회의'를 개최했다고 발표했다. 이번 회의는 신규 위원 위촉식, 제6기 영천시지역사회보장계획 심의, 2026년 상반기 운영 실적 보고 순으로 진행됐다.
특히 이번에 심의된 제6기 지역사회보장계획은 지역의 복지 여건과 주민의 다양한 욕구를 바탕으로 향후 4년간 영천시가 추진할 사회보장 정책의 방향과 주요 과제를 담는 중장기 계획이다. 영천시는 민관 협력을 통해 아동, 청소년, 노인, 장애인, 저소득층 등 다양한 계층의 복지 수요에 대응하는 맞춤형 세부 과제를 마련하고 있다.
영천시는 이번 중장기 계획 수립을 계기로 복지 사각지대를 해소하고 주민의 삶의 질 향상과 복지 체감도를 극대화할 방침이다. 이를 위해 시는 민관 협력 네트워크를 한층 더 공고히 하고, 현장 중심의 복지 행정을 적극적으로 펼쳐 나갈 계획이라고 밝혔다.
