[CTN/부산]가금현 기자 = 부산시립합창단이 본격적인 여름을 맞아 관객들의 눈과 귀를 사로잡을 역동적인 합창 축제를 선보인다.

부산시립합창단은 오는 7월 23일(목) 오후 7시 30분 부산문화회관 중극장에서 제201회 정기연주회 《2026 썸머 판타지(SUMMER FANTASY) – 리듬》을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

'썸머 판타지'는 부산시립합창단의 대표적인 여름 시즌 프로그램이다.

올해는 ‘리듬(Rhythm)’을 키워드로 삼아 재즈, 대중음악, 삼바, 케이팝(K-POP) 등 다채로운 장르의 음악을 합창으로 새롭게 풀어낸다.

대중에게 친숙한 명곡들을 원곡과 전혀 다른 합창 편곡으로 재해석하여, 합창 고유의 풍성한 색채와 역동적인 리듬감을 선사할 예정이다.

특히 이번 공연은 지난해 8월 취임한 부산시립합창단 엄보영 부지휘자의 첫 정기연주회라는 점에서 큰 기대를 모으고 있다.

엄 지휘자는 젊고 섬세한 음악적 감각을 바탕으로 차세대 지휘자로 주목받고 있다.

공연은 총 네 개의 테마로 구성된다.

재즈 & 삼바: 로맨틱 팝 재즈 명곡 〈Can't Take My Eyes Off of You〉와 정열적인 삼바 리듬의 〈Mas Que Nada〉
대중음악 & 케이팝: 밴드 데이식스(DAY6)의 대표곡 〈예뻤어〉 등 세대를 아우르는 친숙한 레퍼토리
이번 무대는 단순한 노래를 넘어 시각적 즐거움도 함께 제공한다. 전문 안무가 성경희의 안무가 더해져 음악의 리듬감을 역동적인 무대 퍼포먼스로 구현할 예정이다.

여기에 부산시립청소년교향악단의 풍성한 오케스트라 사운드가 결합하고, KBS 최승돈 아나운서가 사회를 맡아 매끄러운 진행과 해설로 관객의 이해를 돕는다.

한편, 당일 오후 2시에는 지역 사회복지시설, 다문화가족지원기관 등에서 400여 명을 초청하는 ‘문화나눔 공연’도 특별 진행된다. 부산시립합창단은 이를 통해 문화예술 향유 기회를 확대하고 지역사회와 나눔의 가치를 공유할 계획이다.

[CTN/Busan] Reporter Keum-hyun Ga = The Busan Metropolitan Chorus is set to cool off the summer heat with a dynamic choral festival that promises to captivate both the eyes and ears of the audience.
The chorus announced that it will hold its 201st Subscription Concert, 《2026 SUMMER FANTASY – Rhythm》, on Thursday, July 23 at 7:30 PM at the Medium Theater of the Busan Cultural Center.
"Summer Fantasy" is the signature summer season program of the Busan Metropolitan Chorus. This year, under the theme of "Rhythm," the concert will reinterpretation various musical genres—including jazz, pop, samba, and K-POP—through choral arrangements. Familiar masterpieces will be reborn with rich choral colors and dynamic rhythms, offering a stark contrast to their original versions.
This performance holds special significance as it marks the debut subscription concert for Assistant Conductor Um Bo-young, who took office in August last year. Renowned for her youthful and delicate musical sensibilities, Maestro Um is widely recognized as a next-generation leader in the Busan music scene.
The concert consists of four distinct themes:
Jazz & Samba: The romantic pop-jazz classic and the passionate samba-infused .
Pop & K-POP: Widely loved tracks across generations, including the hit song by the K-pop band DAY6.
Moving beyond a conventional choral recital, this stage features dynamic movements choreographed by professional choreographer Seong Kyung-hee, visually bringing the rhythm of the music to life. Furthermore, the Busan Metropolitan Youth Orchestra will join to provide a rich, full-bodied orchestral sound, while KBS announcer Choi Seung-don will host the event, enhancing communication with the audience through insightful commentary.
In addition, a special "Cultural Sharing Performance" will take place at 2:00 PM on the same day. Around 400 guests from local social welfare facilities, community centers, and multicultural family support centers will be invited, aiming to expand access to cultural arts and spread the value of sharing within the community.
