전라남도 나주시는 영산강정원과 둔치 일원에 약 12만 평(39ha) 규모로 조성한 가을 꽃단지가 본격적인 개화기에 접어들었다고 9월 23일 밝혔다.

나주시는 올해 영산강 둔치와 정원 내부를 연계해 전체 꽃단지 면적을 지난해보다 15ha 확장했으며, 계절감을 살린 신규 화종을 다수 배치했다.

이번 조성 작업은 오는 10월 7일부터 11일까지 개최되는 '2026 나주영산강축제' 일정에 맞춰 추진되며, 현재 백일홍이 약 60% 개화한 가운데 댑싸리와 해바라기도 단계적 개화를 진행 중이다.

나주시는 축제 기간 최상의 관람 환경을 유지하기 위해 기상 여건에 맞춘 관수 작업과 제초, 주변 환경 정비를 병행하고 있다.

아울러 영산강르네상스과 공식 SNS 채널을 통해 꽃단지의 생육 및 개화 과정을 시민들에게 실시간으로 공유하는 홍보 활동에도 박차를 가하고 있다.
