[전남광주/CTN]최영준 기자= 민형배 전남광주통합특별시장은 "시민을 중심에 두고 통합특별시 전체의 관점에서 공공기관의 기능과 역할을 재정립해야 한다"라며 "주민이 현장에서 필요한 서비스를 제안하면 공공기관이 함께 대화하고 뒷받침하는 현장 중심의 체계를 만들어야 한다"라고 강조했다.

민 시장은 이어 "공공서비스 대상과 수요를 명확히 파악하고 돌봄 현장의 요구에 신속하게 대응하는 AI 기반 통합돌봄 전달체계를 구축해 달라"라고 덧붙였다.

전남광주통합특별시는 9월 23일 제2회 공공기관장 회의를 열어 유사·중복 기능을 수행하는 공공기관의 역할 조정 방안과 시민주권형 공공서비스 체계 구축을 논의했다고 밝혔다.

현재 전남 6개, 광주 6개 등 총 12개 기관의 통합 방식이 확정됐으며, 오는 10월 시의회에 조례안을 제출한 뒤 정관 정비 및 임원 구성을 거쳐 2027년 1월 통합기관을 출범시킬 예정이다.

회의에서는 곡성군에서 시행 중인 '산들봄 프로젝트'를 바탕으로 통합특별시의 공통 돌봄 체계인 '남빛 기본돌봄 모델'을 구체화하고, 각 기관이 보유한 복지·의료·문화·일자리 자원을 연계하는 방안이 다뤄졌다.

전남광주통합특별시는 공공기관 간 소통과 협력을 강화하고 행정통합의 시너지 효과를 창출하기 위해 정례 회의 체계를 지속해서 가동할 방침이라고 밝혔다.

Twelve institutions from Jeonnam and Gwangju have finalized their merger plans, aiming for an official launch in January 2027 following ordinance submissions in October.

The city plans to establish a regular meeting structure to continuously strengthen collaboration among public agencies and expand citizen-centered social service models.
