[대구/CTN]이수현 기자= 황보란 대구시 문화체육관광국장은 "동성로 청년버스킹은 청년예술가에게는 성장과 도전의 무대이자, 시민에게는 일상에서 문화예술을 가까이 즐길 수 있는 기회가 되고 있다"라며 "하반기 공연을 통해 동성로가 더욱 활기찬 문화거리로 자리매김하기를 기대한다"라고 말했다. 대구광역시는 동성로 28아트스퀘어와 2·28기념중앙공원 일원에서 ‘동성로 청년버스킹’ 하반기 공연을 재개한다고 밝혔다.
대구시에 따르면 이번 하반기 공연은 9월 2일부터 23일까지 매주 수요일과 금요일 오후 7시에 진행되며 총 7회 열릴 예정이다.
올해 총 30회 규모로 운영되는 이 사업은 회차별로 첫걸음예술가 1팀, 청년예술가 2팀, 시민 오픈마이크 1팀이 참여해 거리공연을 선보인다.
지방자치단체가 도심 상권 활성화와 지역 청년 예술인 지원을 위해 정례적인 거리 공연 사업을 기획하고 운영하는 것은 지자체의 정례적인 문화 진흥 행정이다.
시는 상반기 동안 총 23회 공연을 개최해 8,050여 명의 관람객이 방문했다고 집계했으며, 참여 예술가의 타 경연대회 수상 사례 등을 연계해 사업 성과를 강조했다.
