[경산/CTN]이수현 기자= 박주원 경산시농업기술센터 소장은 "어려운 기상 여건 속에서도 풍성한 결실을 일궈낸 농업인들의 노고에 감사드린다"라며 "경산시는 기후변화에 대응한 안정적인 식량 생산과 고품질 쌀 생산을 위해 현장 중심의 농업기술 보급과 농가 지원을 지속적으로 강화하겠다"라고 말했다. 경산시는 자인면 신호철 농가가 원당뜰에서 올해 첫 벼 베기를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

경산시에 따르면 이번에 수확한 벼는 농촌진흥청에서 육성한 조생종 품종인 '해담쌀'로, 지난 4월 27일 모내기를 한 지 약 121일 만에 수확됐다.

해당 농가는 올해 7월 발령된 폭염중대경보와 8월 중순까지 이어진 무더위 및 가뭄 속에서 물 관리와 병해충 방제를 진행했으며, 시 농업기술센터도 현장 기술 지도와 생육 상황 점검을 지원했다.

지방자치단체 농업 부서가 관내 첫 수확 농가를 찾아 결실을 격려하고 지역 쌀 브랜드 유통 계획을 알리는 것은 정례적인 농정 홍보 행정이다.

수확된 벼는 건조와 도정 과정을 거쳐 경산 지역 쌀 브랜드인 '한장군 쌀'로 유통돼 소비자들에게 공급될 예정이다.

The harvested rice will undergo drying and milling processes before being distributed under Gyeongsan's local rice brand, 'Hanjanggun Ssal'.
