[대구/CTN]이수현 기자= 추경호 대구광역시장은 "월배공영주차장 개장은 주거밀집지역의 만성적인 주차 공간 부족을 해소하는 동시에 시민들에게 도심 내 휴식처를 제공하는 뜻깊은 사업이다"라며 "앞으로도 시민들의 삶의 질을 높이는 체감형 정책 추진에 최선을 다하겠다"라고 말했다. 대구광역시는 달서구 상인2동 월배근린공원 지하에 조성한 월배공영주차장을 개장하고 정식 운영에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.
대구시에 따르면 월배공영주차장은 연면적 3,900㎡, 총 100면 규모의 지하 1층 시설로 대구공공시설관리공단이 24시간 연중무휴로 운영한다.
이날 개장식에는 시장을 비롯해 지역 국회의원, 시·구의원, 부구청장 등 관계자 80여 명이 대거 참석해 주차장 개장을 축하했다.
주거 밀집 지역이나 전통시장 인근의 주차난 해소를 위해 공영주차장을 신설하고 상부 공원을 정비하는 것은 기초·광역 지자체의 정례적인 생활 인프라 확충 사업이다.
