[방미통위/CTN]가요진 기자= 김종철 방송미디어통신위원회 위원장은 "국내 방송사업자 및 제작사의 창의적이고 경쟁력 있는 방송콘텐츠가 글로벌 시장으로 뻗어나갈 수 있도록 해외 투자 상담 및 수출 홍보 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"라고 밝혔다.
방송미디어통신위원회와 한국방송통신전파진흥원(원장 이상훈)은 오는 12월 3일부터 5일까지 싱가포르에서 개최되는 '2026년 아시아 최대 미디어·엔터테인먼트 콘텐츠마켓(ATF; Asia TV Forum & Market)'에 진출할 국내 방송콘텐츠 11편을 해외유통 지원 사업 대상작으로 최종 선정했다고 9월 23일 발표했다.
이번 지원 사업은 기획부터 제작 단계에 이르는 다양한 장르의 방송콘텐츠를 아시아 최대 규모의 미디어 시장에 선보여 국내 유수의 방송사와 제작사의 해외 투자 유치 및 판로 개척을 돕기 위해 마련되었다.
올해 선정작은 인공지능(AI) 기술을 적극 도입한 것이 주요 특징이다. AI 디에이징(De-aging) 기술을 적용해 인물의 얼굴을 정교하게 변환·복원한 《신인감독 김연경》을 포함한 AI 기반 제작지원작 4편과, 사진 자료를 바탕으로 고도화된 영상 장면을 구현하는 '오아시스 AIX' 기술을 활용한 《언포게터블 듀엣2》 등 AI 활용 기획 프로그램 7편이 포함됐다.
방미통위와 전파진흥원은 지난 2024년부터 아시아 국가 중 최초로 AI 기술을 융합한 방송콘텐츠 라인업을 현지에 선보이며 해외 투자자들의 높은 관심을 이끌어낸 바 있다. 정부는 이번 ATF 참가를 통해 국내 방송콘텐츠의 글로벌 유통 역량을 극대화하고 K-콘텐츠의 입지를 공고히 다질 방침이다.
첨단 기술과 방송 기획력이 결합한 이번 한국 방송콘텐츠 라인업이 싱가포르 ATF 현지에서 글로벌 미디어 시장의 구체적인 투자 및 수출 계약으로 이어질 수 있을지 기대를 모은다.
