[나주/CTN]하성매 기자= 유설희 전남광주통합특별시 다도면장은 "작은 변화가 주민들의 생활에 실질적인 도움이 되길 바란다"라며 "앞으로도 주민들과 함께 마을 곳곳을 아름답고 안전하게 가꾸며 살기 좋은 다도면을 만들어 나가겠다"라고 말했다. 다도면은 '청정전남 으뜸마을' 만들기 사업을 통해 마을별 경관 개선 및 환경 정비 사업을 추진했다고 밝혔다.
다도면에 따르면 이번 사업을 통해 덕동1리 담장 벽화 조성, 판촌1리 나주호 전망 포토존 및 벤치 설치, 풍산3리 진입로 조명 설치 등을 진행했다.
면은 연내 마을 꽃길 조성, 안전펜스 및 태양광 조명등 설치, 안내 게시판 설치 등 추가 사업을 이어갈 계획이다.
농촌 마을의 노후 환경을 정비하고 소규모 편의시설이나 보행 조명을 설치해 주거 환경을 보완하는 것은 읍·면 단위 지자체의 일상적인 지역 가꾸기 사업이다.
다만 낡은 담장에 페인트칠을 하거나 벤치 몇 개, 포토존 하나 세운 것을 두고 마을의 정체성을 살린 거창한 정주 환경 개선 성과인 양 포장하는 것은 보여주기식 행정이라는 지적을 피하기 어렵다. 단발성 벽화 그리기나 전시성 포토존 설치 같은 표피적 사업에 치중할 것이 아니라, 농촌 취약 지역의 도로, 하수도, 빈집 정비 등 주민 삶의 질을 높이는 근본적인 인프라 개선으로 진정성을 증명해야 한다.
