[전남광주/CTN]최영준 기자= 이오숙 전남광주통합소방본부장은 "화재 발생 시 초기 인지와 신속한 대피가 인명피해를 줄이는 데 무엇보다 중요하다"라며 "노후 아파트 화재취약세대에 단독경보형 연기감지기를 보급해 화재안전 사각지대를 줄이고 안전한 주거환경을 만드는 데 힘쓰겠다"라고 말했다. 전남광주통합소방본부는 노후 아파트 화재취약세대를 대상으로 단독경보형 연기감지기 보급 사업을 추진 중이라고 밝혔다.
본부에 따르면 올해 전체 보급 목표인 2만 9,710세대 가운데 현재까지 1만 4,827세대에 설치를 마쳐 약 50%의 보급률을 기록했다.
이번 사업은 13세 미만 아동, 65세 이상 노인, 장애인 거주 세대 등 피난 약자 가구를 대상으로 직접 방문해 감지기를 설치하고 소방안전교육을 병행하는 방식으로 진행되고 있다.
화재 취약 계층이 다수 거주하는 노후 공동주택에 기초 소방시설을 보급하고 자율 안전 관리 능력을 키우는 것은 소방당국의 당위적 행정 과제다.
