농림축산식품부(장관 송미령)는 농협중앙회와 손잡고 10월 13일 서울 양재 aT센터에서 제5회 '여성농업인의 날' 기념행사를 개최했다고 발표했다. 이번 행사는 유엔이 지정한 '2026 세계 여성농업인의 해'를 맞이해 농업과 농촌의 지속가능한 발전을 이끄는 여성농업인의 가치와 위상을 조명하기 위해 마련됐다.

현장에서는 권익 신장에 기여한 유공자 포상을 비롯해 코미디언 김미화 씨의 여성농업인정책 홍보대사 위촉식, 다양한 세대의 삶을 나누는 토크콘서트 등이 진행됐다. 이와 함께 농림축산식품부는 농식품지식정보서비스(농업ON) 내에 여성농업인 전용 메뉴를 신설하여 맞춤형 정책과 사업 정보를 통합 제공하는 온라인 서비스를 본격 개시했다.

농림축산식품부는 앞으로도 여성농업인의 자긍심을 높이고 현장에서 체감할 수 있는 맞춤형 지원 정책을 다각도로 펼쳐나갈 예정이라고 밝혔다.
