[행안부/CTN]가요진 기자= 김광용 행정안전부 재난안전관리본부장은 "재난에 강한 사회를 만들기 위해서는 미래 재난안전을 책임질 청년 인재를 체계적으로 양성하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다"라며 "대학과 긴밀히 협력해 청년들이 전문지식과 현장 대응 역량을 갖춘 재난관리 전문가로 성장할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다"라고 밝혔다.
행정안전부(장관 윤호중)는 10월 12일 정부세종청사에서 강원대, 동의대, 숭실대, 호서대 등 4개 대학과 '재난관리 분야 전문인력 양성사업' 업무협약을 체결했다고 발표했다. 이번 사업은 복잡화되는 재난 환경에 대응해 현장 실무와 전문성을 고루 갖춘 재난관리 인재를 다각도로 양성하기 위해 기획됐다.
특히 올해부터는 지원 대상을 기존 석·박사 과정에서 학사 과정까지 확대 도입했다. 협약 대학에는 2026년 9월부터 2027년 12월까지 3개 학기 동안 대학당 1억 5천만 원 내외의 국비가 투입되며, 장학금 지원 및 현장실습, 연구활동 인프라 조성에 활용된다. 이를 통해 학사 75명, 석사 38명, 박사 30명 등 총 143명의 정예 인력을 배출할 수 있을 것으로 전망된다.

Participating universities will receive approximately 150 million KRW each in state funding across three semesters from September 2026 through December 2027 to cover scholarships, field training, and research endeavors. A total of 143 specialists—comprising 75 undergraduates, 38 master's students, and 30 doctoral candidates—will undergo advanced training.
Having produced 904 specialists since 2014, the Ministry expects this expansion to bolster national and local disaster resilience significantly.
