[문체부/CTN]가요진 기자= 문체부 정책 담당자는 "코리안 쿡오프는 한국인과 외국인이 집밥을 매개로 서로의 문화를 이해하고 정을 나누는 특별한 여정"이라며 "이번 프로그램을 계기로 전 세계 시청자들이 한식의 다채로운 매력과 케이-컬처에 더욱 친숙해지기를 기대한다"라고 밝혔다.
문화체육관광부(장관 최휘영)는 국제방송교류재단(사장 김태정)과 함께 한국인 어머니와 주한 외국인이 팀을 이뤄 한식 요리 대결을 펼치는 예능 프로그램 <코리안 쿡오프(Korean Cook-Off)> 5부작을 10월 12일부터 16일까지 아리랑TV를 통해 공개한다고 발표했다.
프로그램은 전국 각지의 '집밥 달인' 어머니 5명과 중급 이상 한국어가 가능한 주한 외국인 5명이 다섯 팀을 구성해 전개된다. 베네수엘라, 가나, 폴란드, 우즈베키스탄, 프랑스 출신 참가자들은 어머니들의 집을 방문해 손맛 비법을 배우고, 각 지역의 특색을 담은 요리를 자신만의 방식으로 재해석해 경연에 임한다.
문체부는 한식 고유의 온정과 손맛을 조명하는 이번 방송을 통해 글로벌 시청자들에게 K-푸드와 한국 문화의 친근한 매력을 널리 알릴 수 있을 것으로 모으고 있다.
