[대구/CTN]이수현 기자= 추경호 대구시장은 "시민들이 깨끗한 아침을 맞이할 수 있는 것은 환경공무직 여러분의 땀과 노력, 그리고 가족들의 따뜻한 응원이 모여 만들어낸 결과다"라며 "현장에서 일하시는 여러분이 안전하고 건강하게 일할 수 있도록 근무 환경과 복지 향상에도 더욱 세심한 관심을 기울이겠다"라고 밝혔다.
대구광역시는 10월 2일 환경자원사업소 축구장에서 환경공무직과 가족, 구·군 관계자 등 1,500여 명이 참석한 가운데 '2026년 환경공무직 체육대회'를 개최했다고 발표했다. 이번 행사는 보이지 않는 곳에서 깨끗한 도시 환경 조성을 위해 헌신해 온 환경공무직의 노고를 격려하고 동료 간 친목과 화합을 도모하기 위해 마련됐다.
체육대회에서는 족구, 계주, 단체줄넘기 등 다채로운 스포츠 경기와 어울림한마당 행사가 이어졌다. 참가자들은 일상의 업무 부담에서 벗어나 동료들과 교류하며 화합의 시간을 가졌다. 추경호 시장은 직접 구·군별 부스를 순회하며 현장 근로자들과 소통하고 감사의 뜻을 전했다.
