[대구/CTN]이수현 기자= 추경호 대구광역시장은 "이번 행사에서 논의된 정책은 현장에 적용되고, 공유된 기술은 시민의 안전과 산업의 경쟁력을 높이며, 협력관계는 구체적인 공동사업으로 이어져야 한다"라며 "정부의 물산업 육성체계 개편 논의와 맞물려 국가물산업클러스터를 기반으로 한 대구의 경쟁력을 다시 한번 확인하는 자리가 됐다"라고 말했다.
대구광역시는 9월 9일부터 11일까지 대구 엑스코에서 열린 '대한민국 국제물주간 2026'이 막을 내렸다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사에는 74개 기업이 참여해 174개 부스를 운영했으며, 반도체 및 에너지 기업들이 함께해 기술 협력 범위를 넓혔다.
대구시는 행사 기간 중 350만 달러 규모의 수출 상담과 190만 달러 상당의 계약을 추진하는 성과를 거두었다고 설명했다.
아울러 시는 미국위생재단(NSF) 아시아·태평양 연구시험소 유치 활동과 2028년 IDRA 세계총회 유치를 위한 홍보전을 병행했다.
대구시는 국가물산업클러스터 인프라를 바탕으로 지역 물기업의 해외 진출 지원을 지속해서 강화해 나갈 방침이며 앞으로도 물산업진흥원 설립 추진 흐름에 맞춰 지역 중심의 정책적·산업적 입지를 더욱 확고히 하겠다고 밝혔다.
