대구광역시는 9월 7일 대구시청 산격청사에서 육군 제50보병사단과 '재난대응 협력체계 구축'을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 산불과 집중호우 등 예측하기 어려운 각종 재난에 대한 공동 대응 역량을 강화하고 군 장병 사기진작 등 다각적 협력을 추진하기 위해 마련됐다.

협약에 따라 양 기관은 시민의 생명과 안전을 지키기 위해 도심형 대형산불 대응 합동훈련 및 공동 진화를 추진하고 신속한 재난 복구 체계를 가동하기로 했다.

특히 평시 상시 연락체계를 구축해 실제 재난 발생 시 군의 인력과 장비가 적기에 투입될 수 있는 현장 중심의 공조 체계를 대폭 강화할 예정이다.

이와 함께 비상대비훈련과 예비군 운영 등 지역 안보 역량을 강화하는 한편 대구에서 복무 중인 장병들을 위한 교류 프로그램과 지원책을 함께 추진한다.

대구시는 50사단과의 실시간 정보 공유 시스템을 다져 시민 복구 지원 및 안보 협력을 공고히 이어갈 방침이라고 밝혔다.

Under the terms, both organizations will conduct joint drills for urban wildfires and establish rapid recovery systems to streamline rescue operations.

The agreement also includes maintaining continuous contact networks to ensure military personnel and equipment are deployed promptly during emergencies.

Daegu City stated it will continue expanding joint training and local support initiatives for soldiers stationed within the region to strengthen community ties.
