익산시, K-주얼리 글로벌 도약 추진, "국책사업 선점 박차"

패션주얼리공동연구개발센터서 간담회 열어 대응 전략 논의
한병도 국회의원·최정호 익산시장 등 민·관·정 관계자 20여 개 기업 참석

[익산/CTN]최동주 기자= 최정호 익산시장은 "주얼리법 제정은 익산의 뿌리 깊은 보석 산업이 지역적 한계를 벗어나 글로벌 무대로 도약하는 결정적 전환점"이라며 "제조 생태계 전반의 체질을 획기적으로 개선하고 경쟁력을 끌어올려 명실상부한 K-주얼리 대표 도시의 위상을 확고히 다지겠다"라고 말했다.

전라북도 익산시는 '주얼리산업 기반 조성 및 진흥에 관한 법률(주얼리법)' 제정에 맞춰 9월 12일 익산패션주얼리공동연구개발센터에서 산업 발전 간담회를 열고 민·관·정 협력 방안을 논의했다고 밝혔다.

이날 간담회에는 한병도 국회의원과 최정호 익산시장을 비롯해 지역 20개 제조기업 대표와 유관기관 관계자들이 참석했다.

참석자들은 지난 8월 20일 국회를 통과한 주얼리법의 주요 내용을 공유하고, 내년 2월 법 시행에 맞춰 국가 지원 사업을 선점하기 위한 전략을 다각도로 점검했다.

익산시는 주얼리 진흥을 위한 신규 국책사업 발굴 및 국비 확보를 중앙부처에 선제적으로 건의하고 있다고 설명했다.

아울러 현장 기업들의 규제 완화 요구와 애로사항을 수렴해 민·관·정 공조 체계를 한층 강화하기로 뜻을 모았다.

익산시는 지방 유일의 대규모 주얼리 전용 단지와 연구 인프라를 바탕으로 글로벌 수출 거점 조성을 계속해서 추진하겠다고 밝혔다.

Iksan City announced on September 14 that it held an industry development roundtable on September 12 following the passage of the 'Jewelry Industry Infrastructure Establishment and Promotion Act'.

The meeting brought together Representative Byung-do Han, Mayor Jung-ho Choi, and representatives from 20 local manufacturing firms to discuss collaboration strategies.

Participants reviewed the core provisions of the act passed in August and coordinated efforts to secure national funding projects ahead of the law's implementation next February.

Iksan City stated it will strengthen public-private-government cooperation to ease regulations and turn the region into a global export hub.
