[행안부/CTN]가요진 기자= 진명기 행정안전부 자치혁신실장은 "청년마을은 청년들이 지역에서 새로운 가능성을 발견하고 지역의 문제를 함께 해결하며 성장할 수 있도록 돕는 중요한 정책이다"라며 "금융서비스, 판로개척, 브랜드 고도화 등 민간의 역량이 청년마을과 연결되어 청년들의 자립과 성장을 실질적으로 뒷받침할 수 있기를 기대한다"라고 말했다.

행정안전부는 9월 11일 전북특별자치도 익산시 청년마을 '지구장이마을'을 방문해 KB국민카드와 청년마을 자립 지원을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 민간 금융사 인프라를 활용해 지역 청년들의 사업 경쟁력을 확보하고 정착 기반을 넓히기 위해 추진됐다.

협약에 따라 KB국민카드는 올해 하반기 'KB 지역청년 온기나눔' 사업을 통해 8개 청년마을에 총 2억 원의 사업화 자금을 제공한다.

양 기관은 단순 재정 지원에 그치지 않고 브랜드 개선, 컨설팅, 온·오프라인 판로 확대, 온라인 마케팅 지원을 병행할 예정이다.

행안부는 현재 전국 61개소로 조성된 청년마을 사업과 민간 자원을 연계하는 통합 지원 체계를 지속해서 확대하기로 했으며 앞으로도 민간 기업과의 협력을 강화해 청년들의 지역 정주 여건을 개선하고 성과를 전국으로 확산해 나갈 방침이라고 밝혔다.

Deputy Minister Jin added, "We expect private corporate capabilities to practically support youth independence through financial and marketing channels."

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding with KB Kookmin Card on September 11 at 'Jigujang-i Village' in Iksan.

The agreement aims to strengthen the commercial viability of youth-led local projects by integrating private-sector financial and marketing infrastructure.

Under the partnership, KB Kookmin Card will provide 200 million KRW in commercialization funds to eight selected Youth Villages in the second half of the year.

MOIS stated it will continue linking private resources to the 61 existing Youth Villages nationwide to build sustainable local ecosystems.
