[교육부/CTN]가요진 기자= 최교진 교육부 장관은 "전국 거점국립대 중 최초로 개관하는 강원대학교 산학연혁신허브가 대학과 지역 산업계를 긴밀히 잇는 첨단 산학협력의 전초기지로 자리매김하길 기대한다"라며 "인재들이 지역에 정주하며 성장을 이끄는 선순환 체계를 구축할 수 있도록 적극 협력하겠다"라고 말했다.
교육부, 국토교통부, 중소벤처기업부는 9월 9일 강원대학교 춘천캠퍼스에서 캠퍼스 혁신파크 '산학연혁신허브' 준공 및 개관식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
캠퍼스 혁신파크는 정부와 대학, 한국토지주택공사(LH)가 협력해 학내 부지에 기업 입주 공간과 산학협력 시설을 건립하는 범부처 지원 사업이다.
이번에 개관한 강원대 산학연혁신허브는 연면적 22,285㎡ 규모로 98개의 독립 기업·기관 입주 공간과 첨단 연구 장비 등을 갖췄다.
현재까지 44개 기업이 53개 호실의 입주 계약을 마쳤으며, 주변 시세보다 저렴한 임대료로 최대 10년간 상주할 수 있다.
정부는 입주기업을 대상으로 과제 연구실 운영, R&D 인턴십, 시제품 제작 등 성장 단계별 맞춤형 지원 프로그램을 가동할 예정이다.
정부는 캠퍼스 혁신파크가 청년층의 지역 정주와 첨단산업 일자리 창출을 이끄는 동력이 될 것이라고 전망했다.
