[원안위/CTN]가요진 기자= 최원호 원자력안전위원회 위원장은 "이번 연합훈련은 복수의 원전 부지에서 동시에 방사선 비상이 발생하는 상황을 최초로 반영해 대응 역량을 점검했다는 데 의미가 있다"라며 "여러 원전에서 동시에 비상이 발생하더라도 관계 기관이 유기적으로 협력해 국민 안전을 지킬 수 있도록 방사능 방재 체계를 지속해서 고도화하겠다"라고 말했다.
원자력안전위원회는 9월 10일 경북 경주 월성원전과 울진 한울원전의 방사능 누출 사고를 가정해 2,000여 명이 참여하는 '2026년 국가방사능방재 연합훈련'을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이번 훈련은 지진에 따른 신월성 2호기 재난과 함께 월성·한울 두 부지에서 동시에 방사선 비상이 발생하는 복합 상황을 최초로 반영해 국가 대응 체계를 점검했다.
특히 월성 방재센터가 침수되는 비상 상황을 가상하여 현장 지휘 기능을 울주 광역센터로 이관하는 훈련을 전개하며 지휘 체계의 연속성을 확인했다.
지방자치단체와 경찰은 경주 18개소, 포항 3개소 등 21개소에 출입 통제소를 설치하고 실제 교통 정보를 반영한 주민 대피 계획의 작동 여부를 검증했다.
한국원자력안전기술원은 실시간 방사능 탐사 데이터를 제공하고, 한국원자력의학원은 현장 진료소 운영과 트라우마 심리 상담을 병행했다.
원안위는 이번 연합훈련 결과를 바탕으로 복수 부지 동시 사고 대응 지침을 보완하고 방사능 방재 역량을 강화해 나갈 방침이라고 밝혔다.

To test operational continuity, the NSSC practiced relocating the field command center to Ulju following a simulated flooding of the Wolsong disaster center.
Local governments and police deployed 21 traffic control checkpoints across Gyeongju and Pohang, evaluating resident evacuation protocols under real-time traffic conditions.
The NSSC stated it will continually refine multi-site emergency manuals and enhance field coordination with participating ministries and local authorities.
