질병관리청은 대한예방의학회와 함께 9월 8일 서울스퀘어에서 '2026년 기후보건포럼'을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 포럼은 기후보건 커뮤니케이션 고도화 전략을 주제로 기후변화가 건강에 미치는 영향을 국민에게 효과적으로 알리고 행동 변화를 이끌어내기 위한 소통 방안을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.

행사에서는 기후보건영향평가 결과 활용도 제고 방안, 기후위기와 건강을 잇는 커뮤니케이션 과제, 폭염 위험 인식 조사 결과와 기후위기 소통의 함의 등 주제 발표가 이어졌다.

이어 진행된 패널토의에서는 학계, 기후변화행동연구소, 청년단체, 지자체 연구원 관계자들이 참여해 기후변화 건강 영향에 대한 다각적인 소통 전략을 다뤘다.

질병관리청은 지난 2022년부터 기후보건포럼을 지속적으로 개최해 오며 학계 및 전문가들과 연구 성과를 공유해 왔다.

질병청은 이번 포럼 결과를 바탕으로 지역사회와 국민이 체감할 수 있는 기후보건 소통 체계를 지속해서 보완해 나갈 계획이라고 밝혔다.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency announced on September 9 that it co-hosted the '2026 Climate Health Forum' with the Korean Society for Preventive Medicine at Seoul Square on September 8.

The forum focused on advanced communication strategies to effectively inform the public about climate-related health risks and prompt preventative behavior.

Presentations addressed methods to boost climate health impact assessment utilization, communication tasks linking climate crisis and health, and survey implications regarding heatwave risk perception.

Panel discussions involved experts from academia, research institutes, youth climate action groups, and regional governments.

The KDCA stated it will continuously refine its communication framework based on panel insights to provide practical health protection guidance.
