[산업부/CTN]가요진 기자= 김정관 산업통상부 장관은 "AI 기술은 제도가 따라가기 벅찰 만큼 빠르게 발전하고 있다"라며 "기술 발전에 발맞추어 규제를 선제적으로 혁신하고, 기업이 새로운 기술을 개발하여 산업현장에 적용하는 데 걸림돌이 되는 제도적 병목을 신속히 걷어내야 한다"라고 밝혔다.
산업통상부(장관 김정관)는 10월 13일 '2026년 제6차 산업융합 규제특례심의위원회'를 열고 제조 인공지능 전환(M.AX)을 촉진할 규제특례 안건과 선제적 규제합리화 방안을 심의·의결했다고 발표했다. 이번 조치로 AI, 로봇, 보안 기술을 결합한 신산업 실증이 현장에서 대대적으로 전개될 예정이다.
주요 승인 안건을 살펴보면, (주)마음AI의 자율주행 4족보행 순찰로봇이 천안시 일대 공원과 산책로를 순찰할 수 있도록 실증특례를 부여했다. 또한 (주)샌즈랩과 분당차병원의 AI 기반 의료 데이터 보안 플랫폼 실증을 승인하여 사이버 위협 대응력을 대폭 강화하도록 했다. 특히 (주)로브로스가 반도체, 자동차, 조선, 물류 등 국가 핵심 주력 산업 현장에 이동형 휴머노이드 로봇 20대를 전격 투입할 수 있도록 규제 빗장을 열었다.
산업통상부는 2028년 초까지 제조현장 맞춤형 사이버보안 기준을 수립하고 'AI 워싱' 방지를 위한 AI 가전 기술수준 표준을 제정하는 등 M.AX 확산을 위한 제도 개선에도 박차를 가할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

In addition, SandsLab Co., Ltd. and Bundang Chayeong Hospital received authorization to test an AI cybersecurity platform, while Robros Co., Ltd. was permitted to deploy 20 mobile humanoid robots across key manufacturing lines—including semiconductors, automotive, shipbuilding, and logistics—bypassing existing rigid safety fence mandates.
The Ministry plans to establish tailored cybersecurity guidelines for smart factories by early 2028 and enact technical standards for AI home appliances to prevent 'AI washing' practices.
