[CTN/제주]가금현 기자 = 제주시청소년상담복지센터(센터장 최진범)와 제주외국어고등학교(교장 고영실)가 지역사회 청소년안전망을 강화하고 위기(가능) 청소년에 대한 연계·지원 체계를 구축하기 위해 손을 맞잡았다.

양 기관은 지난 10월 6일 제주외국어고등학교에서 업무협약을 체결하고, 위기청소년을 조기에 발굴해 예방과 보호, 상담 및 복지 서비스를 연계하는 데 상호 협력하기로 했다.

이번 협약은 「청소년복지 지원법」 제9조에 근거해 추진됐으며, 위기(가능) 청소년을 조기에 발견하고 청소년의 건강한 성장과 안정적인 학교생활을 지원하는 것을 주요 목적으로 한다.

협약에 따라 양 기관은 ▲위기청소년 조기 발굴 및 예방체계 강화 ▲심리상담 및 긴급개입 ▲집단상담 ▲부모교육 ▲맞춤형 청소년 지원 프로그램 연계·운영 등에 협력할 예정이다.

특히 지역사회 내 다양한 자원을 적극 활용해 청소년의 심리·정서적 어려움에 대한 지원체계를 구축하고, 학교와 지역사회가 함께하는 통합적인 상담·복지 서비스를 제공한다는 계획이다.

이번 협약을 통해 제주외국어고등학교 학생들이 위기 상황에 보다 신속하게 도움을 받을 수 있는 지원체계가 마련되고, 학교와 지역사회가 연계한 청소년안전망이 한층 강화될 것으로 기대된다.

고영실 교장은 "제주시청소년상담복지센터와의 유기적인 협력을 통해 학생들이 심리적 안정을 찾고 건강하게 성장할 수 있는 안전한 교육환경을 조성하는 데 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

한편 제주시청소년상담복지센터는 개인상담을 비롯해 교육 및 집단상담, 부모교육, 청소년전화 1388 운영, 찾아가는 거리상담, 학교 밖 청소년 지원 등 위기청소년을 위한 다양한 상담·복지 서비스를 제공하고 있다.

Strengthening the Community Youth Safety Network and Establishing a Cooperation System for Early Identification and Support
[CTN/Jeju] Reporter Geum-hyun Ga — The Jeju City Youth Counseling & Welfare Center, headed by Director Choi Jin-beom, and Jeju Foreign Language High School, headed by Principal Ko Young-sil, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on October 6 to strengthen the community youth safety network and establish a cooperative support system for at-risk youth.
Through the agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate in the early identification of youth who are experiencing or are at risk of crisis and in connecting them with appropriate counseling, welfare and protection services.
The agreement was pursued in accordance with Article 9 of the Youth Welfare Support Act and aims to identify at-risk youth at an early stage while providing preventive and protective services to promote their healthy development and stable school life.
Under the MOU, the two organizations will cooperate in ▲strengthening early identification and prevention systems for at-risk youth ▲psychological counseling and emergency intervention ▲group counseling ▲parent education ▲linking and operating customized youth support programs.
The organizations also plan to actively utilize community resources to establish a comprehensive psychological and emotional support system and provide integrated counseling and welfare services in cooperation with schools and local communities.
The agreement is expected to provide students at Jeju Foreign Language High School with faster access to support when they face difficulties, while further strengthening the community-based youth safety network.
Principal Ko Young-sil of Jeju Foreign Language High School said, “Through close cooperation with the Jeju City Youth Counseling & Welfare Center, we will do our best to create a safe educational environment where students can find psychological stability and grow in a healthy manner.”
Meanwhile, the Jeju City Youth Counseling & Welfare Center provides a variety of counseling and welfare services for at-risk youth, including individual counseling, educational and group counseling, parent education, the Youth Hotline 1388, outreach counseling and support for out-of-school youth.
