이번 제호 변경은 단순한 명칭 변경을 넘어 충청남도 교육 현장의 다양한 정책과 학교 소식, 교육가족의 목소리를 보다 깊이 있고 신속하게 전달하기 위한 전략적 변화라는 점에서 의미가 크다.

그동안 교육타임즈는 전국 교육 현장의 다양한 소식을 전달하며 교육언론의 역할을 수행해 왔다.

또한 충남교육신문은 언론 경쟁력 강화를 위해 CTN 발행인을 회장으로 선임하고, 감은영 국장을 충남취재본부장으로 영입하는 등 조직 개편과 인적 쇄신을 단행했다.

이를 통해 더욱 전문적이고 신뢰받는 교육 전문언론으로 자리매김하겠다는 계획이다.
