[교육/CTN]가금현 기자= 초고령사회에 대응하는 충남 노인 지도자 역량 강화 프로젝트가 도내 전역에서 뜨거운 호응을 얻으며 성공적으로 마무리 단계에 접어들고 있다.

(사)대한노인회 충남연합회가 주최한 '2026년 충남 시·군 노인지도자 연수'가 지난 4월부터 7월까지 4개월간의 대장정을 이어가며 충남 13개 시·군 노인 지도자 약 6,000명이 참여하는 대규모 교육으로 자리매김했다.

이번 연수에는 각 시·군 대한노인회 지회 분회장과 경로당 회장 등 지역 노인사회를 이끄는 핵심 지도자들이 참석했으며, 특별강사로 나선 조한구 서일중·고등학교 이사장의 현장 중심 강의가 참가자들의 높은 공감과 호응을 이끌어냈다.

조 이사장은 지난 4월 부여를 시작으로 금산, 태안, 예산을 순회했으며, 5월에는 아산, 청양, 천안, 논산에서 강연을 이어갔다. 이어 6월에는 당진, 서천, 계룡, 공주에서 교육을 진행했고, 오는 7월 서산 일정을 끝으로 모든 순회연수를 마무리할 예정이다.

강연에서는 초고령사회 변화에 대응하는 리더십과 지역사회 봉사, 소통 능력, 노인지도자의 역할과 책임 등을 중심으로 실질적인 사례를 접목한 교육이 진행돼 참석자들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.

조한구 이사장은 "충남 노인지도자 여러분의 열정과 헌신을 현장에서 직접 확인하며 오히려 제가 더 큰 에너지를 얻었다"며 "앞으로도 지역사회 발전과 행복한 노후를 위해 지도자들과 함께 소통하며 실천하는 교육을 이어가겠다"고 밝혔다.

특히 조 이사장은 지난 4월 충남지역 46개 학교법인(72개 중·고등학교)을 대표하는 충남사립학교법인협의회 회장으로 선출된 이후 교육 현장과 지역사회를 잇는 소통 행보를 이어가고 있다.

'발로 뛰는 교육 리더십'을 실천하고 있는 조 이사장의 이번 충남 노인지도자 순회연수는 교육과 봉사, 지역공동체를 연결하는 모범 사례로 평가받고 있으며, 초고령사회 충남의 미래를 준비하는 의미 있는 발걸음으로 주목받고 있다.

Cho Han-gu Inspires 6,000 Senior Leaders Across Chungnam Through 2026 Leadership Training Program
A large-scale leadership training program for senior citizens has successfully concluded across Chungcheongnam-do, drawing widespread participation and positive responses from local communities.
Hosted by the Chungnam Provincial Association of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, the 2026 Senior Leaders Training Program has been conducted over four months, from April through July, reaching approximately 6,000 senior leaders from 13 cities and counties across the province.
Participants included branch presidents, senior center presidents, and other community leaders responsible for supporting elderly welfare and local engagement.
One of the highlights of the program was a series of special lectures delivered by Cho Han-gu, Chairman of Seoil Middle and High School. His practical, field-oriented presentations emphasized leadership, communication, community service, and the evolving role of senior leaders in Korea's rapidly aging society.
The lecture tour began in Buyeo in April before continuing through Geumsan, Taean, Yesan, Asan, Cheongyang, Cheonan, Nonsan, Dangjin, Seocheon, Gyeryong, Gongju, and is scheduled to conclude in Seosan in July.
"I actually gained more energy from the passion and dedication shown by Chungnam's senior leaders," Cho said. "I will continue working closely with local communities through practical education and open communication so that senior leaders can play even greater roles as responsible citizens."
Earlier this year, Cho was also elected Chairman of the Chungnam Private School Foundation Council, representing 46 private educational foundations operating 72 middle and high schools throughout the province.
His commitment to "leadership through action" has been clearly demonstrated throughout the provincial lecture tour, making the program a meaningful model for strengthening senior leadership and preparing local communities for Korea's super-aged society.
