[고용노동부/CTN]가요진 기자= 박종길 근로복지공단 이사장은 "경인지역은 우리나라 경제와 인구의 중심축이자 국민과 가장 가까이 소통하는 중요한 현장"이라며 "이번 신청사가 국민에게 더욱 가깝고 질 높은 서비스를 제공하는 현장 중심의 노동복지 공간으로 자리매김하기를 기대한다"라고 말했다.
근로복지공단은 인천 남동구에 경인지역본부 신청사를 개청하고 본격적인 업무에 들어갔다고 9월 3일 밝혔다.
공단은 이번 신청사 개청을 통해 단순한 공간 이전을 넘어 고객 접근성을 향상하고 현장 중심의 노동복지 서비스를 한층 강화할 방침이다.
새롭게 문을 연 신청사는 지상 6층, 지하 2층, 연면적 1,4372㎡ 규모로 건립됐으며 경인지역본부 9개 부서를 비롯해 소음성난청전담TF, 경인특수형태근로종사자센터가 함께 입주해 총 314명의 직원이 근무한다.
특히 공단은 전문성이 요구되는 소음성난청 및 특수형태근로종사자 관련 조직을 한곳에 통합 배치함으로써 급증하는 노동복지 수요에 신속하게 대응할 수 있는 기반을 마련했다.
또한 고객상담실을 대폭 확대·개편하고 이동 동선을 효율적으로 배치해 방문 고객이 보다 편안한 환경에서 상담을 받을 수 있도록 이용 환경을 개선했다.
공단은 지난해 7월 경인남부업무상질병판정위원회를 개소한 데 이어 이번 신청사 전문조직 배치를 통해 경인지역의 노동복지 서비스망을 더욱 촘촘하게 구축해 나갈 계획이라고 밝혔다.

The service added that it will continue strengthening its labor welfare infrastructure in the Gyeongin area to ensure faster responses to occupational disease claims and diverse worker needs.
