[산업부/CTN]가요진 기자= 이규봉 산업통상자원부 중견기업정책관은 "추석 명절은 국민들의 소비와 이동이 집중되는 시기인 만큼 물가와 안전을 선제적으로 관리하는 것이 중요하다"라며 "가격표시제 준수 여부를 철저히 점검해 물가안정을 뒷받침하고 대규모점포의 위험요인을 사전에 개선할 수 있도록 현장 중심의 점검을 강화하겠다"라고 말했다.
산업통상자원부는 추석 명절을 앞두고 국민 물가 부담 완화와 안전 확보를 위해 공산품 가격표시제 이행실태와 대규모점포 안전관리를 집중 점검한다고 9월 3일 밝혔다.
산업부는 9월 3일부터 23일까지 지방정부, 중소벤처기업부, 농림축산식품부, 한국소비자원 등과 합동으로 가격표시제 대상 소매점포를 점검한다.
이번 점검은 과일, 생선 등 제수용품과 가격상승 우려 품목을 중심으로 판매가격·단위가격 표시 및 권장소비자가격 표시금지 준수 여부를 확인한다. 지도와 홍보를 중심으로 계도하되 반복 위반 점포에 대해서는 시정권고 및 과태료 등 행정제재를 부과할 예정이다.
이와 함께 9월 7일부터 18일까지 전국 1,148개 대규모점포를 대상으로 소방청, 전기안전공사, 가스안전공사 등과 함께 안전관리 실태를 점검한다.
산업부는 특히 최근 물류시설 화재 발생을 계기로 대규모점포 내 물류공간의 적재물 관리, 피난·방화시설 상태 등 화재 취약요인과 인파 관리 실태를 중점 점검해 위험요인을 즉시 개선 조치할 방침이라고 밝혔다.
