[성남/CTN]김지우 기자= 신상진 성남시장은 "생애 마지막 순간까지 어디에서, 어떻게 지낼 것인가는 시민의 삶의 질과 존엄에 직결되는 중요한 문제"라며 "의료와 돌봄이 필요한 시민이 익숙한 자신의 집에서 안심하고 생활할 수 있도록 성남만의 촘촘한 지원체계를 만들어 나가겠다"라고 밝혔다.
성남시(시장 신상진)는 시민이 살던 집에서 필요한 의료와 돌봄을 받으며 존엄하게 생애를 마무리할 수 있도록 지원하는 '내집 생애말기 케어' 사업을 본격 추진한다고 발표했다. 시는 9월 30일 3개 구 보건소와 성남시의료원, 복지관련 부서가 함께하는 추진단을 출범하고 신상진 시장 주재로 첫 회의를 개최했다.
이번 사업은 보건·의료·복지 서비스를 분절적으로 제공하던 기존 방식에서 벗어나 대상자 발굴부터 재택의료, 돌봄·요양, 임종기 지원, 사후 유가족 지원까지 하나로 연계하는 통합 지원체계를 구축하는 것이 핵심이다. 성남시의료원 재택의료센터의 기능을 강화해 '공공형 왕진시스템'을 구축하고, 방문진료 전담 의사를 추가 배치하여 가정 내 의료 지원을 대폭 확대한다.
시는 전문 분야 전문가로 구성된 '생애말기 케어 판정위원회'를 통해 시범사업 대상자 100여 명을 선발하고, 개별 상황에 맞는 맞춤형 서비스를 제공할 계획이며, 이를 통해 돌봄 공백을 최소화하고 가족의 간병 부담을 줄여 시민이 살아온 집에서 안정적인 생애 말기를 보낼 수 있도록 보조할 방침이라고 밝혔다.
