[경기/CTN]김지우 기자= 이수재 경기도 AI산업육성과장은 "피지컬AI 산업이 성장하려면 기업의 기술개발과 함께 미래 인재가 실제 현장을 경험할 기회가 중요하다"라며 "경기 피지컬AI 랩을 대학과 기업, 학생이 만나는 공간으로 활용하겠다"라고 말했다. 경기도는 대학생을 대상으로 '피지컬AI 기업 탐방 및 산업 교류 프로그램'을 진행했다고 밝혔다.
경기도에 따르면 성남시 경기 피지컬AI 랩에서 열린 이번 행사에는 가천대학교 학생 30여 명이 참석해 입주기업의 주요 기술과 제품을 둘러봤다.
참가자들은 AI 기반 설비 자동화와 로봇 융합 사례를 살피고 기업 관계자 질의응답 및 성능시험장 체험을 거쳤으며, 도는 향후 대학 연계 교육을 확대할 방침이다.
지역 대학생들에게 신산업 분야의 현장 견학 기회를 제공하고 산학 교류의 장을 마련하는 것은 지자체의 흔한 산업 지원 행정이다.
다만 대학생 30여 명을 불러 모아 진행한 일회성 현장 견학을 두고 마치 미래 AI 인재 양성과 산업 생태계 구축의 거창한 성과가 난 것처럼 홍보하는 것은 보여주기식 행정이라는 지적을 피하기 어렵다. 단순한 단기 탐방 프로그램이나 전시성 행사에 만족할 것이 아니라, 실질적인 취업 연계형 인턴십이나 중소기업 지원책 마련으로 진정성을 증명해야 한다.
