[광명/CTN]김지우 기자= 박승원 광명시장이 시니어 인력 양성 성과를 밝히며 "이번 교육으로 쌓은 전문역량에 수료생 각자의 경험이 더해져 현장에서 더욱 빛을 발하길 기대한다"라며 "교육이 현장 경험과 취업, 전문강사 활동으로 이어질 수 있도록 지역 기관과의 협력을 더욱 촘촘히 이어가겠다"라고 밝혔다. 경기도 광명시(시장 박승원) 여성새로일하기센터는 시니어 돌봄 분야 전문인력 19명을 배출하고 8월 11일 '시니어 인지·정서 전문가 양성과정' 수료식을 개최했다고 발표했다.
광명시에 따르면 이번 과정은 고령화에 따른 인지·정서 지원 수요에 맞춰 여성 경력단절 해소를 위해 마련됐다.
4.8대 1의 경쟁률을 뚫고 선발된 20명 중 19명이 164시간의 교육을 이수했다. 교육은 미술·공예·음악 활동 및 생성형 AI 활용 자료 제작 등 실무 중심으로 진행됐다. 시는 수료생 19명에게 지역 5개 노인복지기관과 연계한 시간제 현장실습 체험 기회를 제공하고 취업 연계를 지원할 방침이라고 덧붙였다.
이처럼 고령화 시대에 맞춰 시니어 돌봄 수요를 발굴하고 경력단절 여성들에게 AI 활용법과 인지 정서 실무 교육을 제공해 재취업 기회를 모색하는 것은 지역 일자리 창출 차원에서 의미 있는 시도로 볼 수 있다.
다만 19명의 수료생을 배출한 소규모 단기 교육 사업을 두고 고령화 사회의 대안이자 대단한 일자리 성과인 양 대대적으로 홍보하며 생색을 내는 것은 전형적인 실적 부풀리기 행정이라는 지적을 피하기 어렵다. 단순한 시간제 현장실습이나 단발성 강사 활동 기회를 연결하는 데 만족할 것이 아니라, 지역 노인복지시설의 정규직 전문인력 채용을 유도하고 열악한 돌봄 현장 종사자들의 실질적인 처우를 개선하는 등 체감도 높은 일자리 연계 대책이 우선되어야 할 것으로 보인다.
