[CTN/사회]가금현 기자 =(사)자원봉사애원과 리틀엔젤스예술단이 장애인의 문화예술 향유 기회를 넓히기 위해 마련한 한국무용 체험 프로그램 '오늘은 나도 리틀엔젤스(오나리)'가 서울지역 5개 장애인복지기관에서의 일정을 마치며 의미 있는 성과를 거뒀다.
'오나리'는 공연을 단순히 관람하는 데 그치지 않고 장애인 참가자들이 직접 한국무용을 배우고 전통 소품을 체험할 수 있도록 구성한 참여형 문화예술 프로그램이다.
리틀엔젤스예술단 단원들이 복지기관을 직접 찾아가 공연을 펼치고, 참가자들과 함께 소고춤 기본 동작 등을 익히며 예술을 통한 교감의 시간을 마련했다.
올해 프로그램은 7월 31일부터 8월 14일까지 서울시 내 5개 장애인복지기관에서 진행됐다.
모두 121명의 장애인이 참여했으며 ▲전통무용 공연 ▲소고춤 기본 동작 체험 ▲부채·소고·족두리·갓 등 전통 소품 체험 ▲수료식 등으로 프로그램을 구성해 참가자들의 호응을 이끌어냈다.

해당 기관에서는 환영 공연에 음성 해설을 적용하고, 소리와 촉감, 신체 움직임을 중심으로 프로그램을 재구성하는 등 참여자의 특성을 고려한 배리어프리 콘텐츠를 선보였다.

지난해에는 '제1회 대한민국 봉사와 나눔 우수사례 공모전'에서 우수상을 수상했으며, 올해는 '2026년 서울특별시 장애인 단체활동 및 행사 지원사업'에 선정돼 사업을 확대했다.
참가자들은 공연 관람과 전통 소품 체험에 높은 만족감을 나타냈다.
한 참가자는 "멋진 공연을 보고 다양한 전통 소도구를 직접 만져볼 수 있어 즐거웠다"며 다음에도 프로그램에 참여하고 싶다는 뜻을 전했다.
복지기관 관계자 역시 "이동의 제약이나 돌발 상황에 대한 우려 등으로 장애인 이용자들이 평소 문화예술을 접하기 어려운 경우가 많다"며 "직접 찾아와 한국무용을 즐기고 함께 호흡할 수 있는 기회를 마련해줘 감사하다"고 말했다.
김고은 자원봉사애원 이사장은 "지난해 우수상 수상으로 문화예술 봉사의 가치를 확인한 데 이어 서울시 지원사업을 통해 5개 기관의 참여자들에게 예술적 경험을 선사할 수 있어 뜻깊었다"며 "앞으로도 장애인과 비장애인이 예술로 함께 어우러지고 문화적 장벽을 낮출 수 있도록 다양한 배리어프리 사업을 이어가겠다"고 밝혔다.
자원봉사애원은 앞으로도 ‘오나리’를 비롯해 문화복지 사각지대를 줄이고 장애인의 문화예술 접근성을 높이기 위한 사회공헌 활동을 지속적으로 확대할 계획이다.

From July 31 to August 14, the program was held at five welfare institutions for people with disabilities in Seoul, attracting a total of 121 participants.
The program included performances of traditional Korean dance by members of the Little Angels Arts Troupe, lessons on basic movements of sogochum, hands-on experiences with traditional props such as fans, small drums, traditional bridal headpieces and traditional hats, and a completion ceremony.
A notable feature of this year’s program was its first visit to a welfare center for people with visual disabilities. To make the experience more accessible, the organizers introduced audio descriptions during the welcoming performance and redesigned activities around sound, touch and physical movement.
The program also placed particular emphasis on respectful interaction. Members of the Little Angels Arts Troupe had completed disability awareness training in advance and participated as one-on-one mentors. Before making any physical contact or assisting with movements, they explained what they were going to do and asked for the participant’s consent.
The organizers said these efforts helped create an environment where participants could communicate and connect through art while promoting greater awareness of disability and the value of cultural accessibility.
“Onari” was first introduced last year and received an Excellence Award at the First Korea Volunteerism and Sharing Best Practices Contest. Building on that recognition, this year’s program was selected for the 2026 Seoul Metropolitan Government Support Project for Activities and Events of Organizations for People with Disabilities.
One participant expressed appreciation for the experience, saying that it was especially enjoyable to watch the performance and personally touch and experience various traditional props.
A staff member at one of the participating institutions also noted that people with disabilities can face difficulties accessing cultural and artistic activities because of mobility limitations and concerns about unexpected situations. The staff member welcomed the opportunity for participants to enjoy high-quality Korean dance without having to leave their facility.
Kim Go-eun, chairperson of the Volunteer Love Association, said the organization was pleased to provide meaningful artistic experiences to participants at five institutions through the Seoul Metropolitan Government-supported project.
She added that the association would continue developing barrier-free cultural programs that allow people with and without disabilities to come together through art and help reduce cultural barriers.
The Volunteer Love Association plans to continue expanding its social contribution activities, including “Onari,” with the goal of reducing gaps in cultural welfare and improving access to cultural and artistic experiences for people with disabilities.
