법제처는 9월 22일 서울 중구 소재 중앙인신매매등피해자권익보호기관을 방문해 '인신매매등방지 및 피해자보호 등에 관한 법률' 개정안의 취지와 진행 상황을 공유하는 현장간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 간담회에는 금창섭 법제처 법제조정정책관과 한국여성인권진흥원 여성폭력방지본부장 등 주요 관계자들이 참석했다.

앞서 법제처는 중앙권익보호기관의 현장조사·상담 기능 확대와 지역권익보호기관 설치 근거 마련 등을 골자로 하는 법률 개정안의 사전 법리 검토를 지원해 왔다.

참석자들은 지역 권익보호기관의 추진 방향과 현장 운영상 고충에 대해 의견을 교환했다.

법제처는 간담회에서 제기된 현장 목소리를 검토하여 실질적인 법제 지원과 제도 개선 절차를 이어갈 계획이라고 밝혔다.
