[기상청/CTN]가요진 기자= 이미선 기상청장은 "기상기후산업대전은 인공지능(AI)과 최신 기상기술이 접목된 기상기후산업의 현재와 미래를 확인하는 뜻깊은 자리가 될 것이다"라며 "기상기후 기술은 기후위기 극복의 열쇠인 만큼, 국내 우수 기상기업들의 혁신 기술이 실제 산업현장과 국민 안전으로 이어질 수 있도록 판로개척과 국제 시장 진출을 적극 지원하겠다"라고 말했다.

기상청은 기후위기 대응과 탄소중립 실현을 위해 9월 16일부터 18일까지 3일간 부산 벡스코 제1전시장에서 '2026 기상기후산업대전'을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

한국기상산업기술원이 주관한 이번 행사는 '2026 기후산업국제박람회'와 연계하여 열렸으며, 전 세계적인 기후위기 대응을 위한 최신 기술과 정책을 교류하는 자리로 마련됐다.

전시관에는 41개 국내 기상기업과 관계 기관이 참가해 AI 및 기후 예측 관련 최신 기술과 제품을 소개했다.

행사 기간 '기후테크 혁신과 기상산업의 미래'를 주제로 한 컨퍼런스와 함께 국내외 구매자 대상 판매 상담회 및 수출 탐방회 등 부대행사가 진행됐다.

기상청은 관련 누리집을 통해 관련 정보를 제공하고 국내 기업들의 글로벌 시장 진출 지원을 지속해 나갈 방침이라고 밝혔다.

The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that it held the '2026 Korea Climate and Meteorological Industry Expo' at BEXCO in Busan from September 16 to 18.

Organized by the Korea Meteorological Institute, 41 domestic weather companies and related institutions participated to showcase advanced weather forecasting technologies and climate tech solutions.

The administration plans to continue supporting market expansion and international exports for domestic meteorological enterprises.
