[경찰청/CTN]가요진 기자= 홍석기 경찰청 국가수사본부장은 "매크로를 이용한 대량 예매와 암표 판매는 국민의 공정한 구매 기회를 빼앗는 행위이다"라며 "암표로 부당한 이익을 챙기려 하다가는 형사처벌뿐만 아니라 범죄수익 몰수·추징 등 더 큰 대가를 치르게 된다"라고 말했다.
국가수사본부장은 "추석을 앞두고 열차 승차권을 비롯한 암표거래에 엄정히 대응하고, 범죄수익도 철저히 추적하겠다"라고 덧붙였다.
경찰청 국가수사본부는 3월 3일부터 6개월간 '민생물가 교란범죄 특별단속'을 진행해 매크로 이용 암표매매 사범 126건, 157명을 검거하고 2명을 구속했다고 밝혔다.
이는 직전 집중단속 대비 검거 건수와 인원이 6배 이상 증가한 수치로, 경찰은 총 20억 원 규모의 범죄수익에 대해 기소 전 몰수·추징보전 조치했다.
검거 유형별로는 콘서트 등 공연이 61건(73명)으로 가장 많았고, 야구 등 스포츠 50건(64명), 기차표 등 승차권 8건(11명) 순이었으며, 연령별로는 30대(43.3%)와 20대(33.8%)가 과반수를 차지했다.
경찰은 수사 과정에서 확인된 예매시스템의 보안 취약점을 예매처와 철도운영사 등에 통보하고 개선 방안을 전달했다.
경찰청은 오는 10월 31일까지 특별단속을 이어가는 한편, 문화체육관광부 등 관계 기관 및 예매 플랫폼과 협력해 암표 범죄에 엄정 대응할 방침이라고 밝혔다.
