[국토교통부/CTN]가요진 기자= 김윤덕 국토교통부 장관은 "AI 기술 확산으로 글로벌 인프라 시장이 첨단 기술과 서비스가 결합된 인프라 중심으로 전환기를 맞이하고 있다"라며 "한국은 세계적 수준의 ICT 기술 기반으로 SMART 시티, 지능형 교통체계 등 기술과 경험을 축적해 왔으며, 이번 GICC를 통해 각국의 인프라 수요에 부합하는 글로벌 파트너로 자리매김할 수 있기를 기대한다"라고 말했다.

국토교통부는 해외건설협회 주관으로 9월 15일부터 3일간 서울 여의도 콘래드 호텔에서 '글로벌 인프라 협력 콘퍼런스(GICC) 2026'을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

올해 14회째를 맞이한 이번 행사에는 32개 해외 정부 장·차관과 CEO 등 500여 명이 참석해 'AI와 함께 여는 글로벌 인프라 사업 협력'을 주제로 논의를 진행한다.

정부는 '제1회 한-중앙아 정상회의'와 연계해 중앙아시아 주요국과 교통 인프라 분야 업무협약(MOU)을 체결할 계획이다.

행사 기간에는 고위급 다자회의, AI 데이터센터 세미나, 주요 공기업이 참여하는 교통 협력 세미나 등이 이어진다.

아울러 글로벌 협력포럼, 프로젝트 설명회, 해외 발주처와의 1대1 비즈니스 미팅을 통해 수주 지원 활동을 적극 펼친다.

국토교통부는 첨단 기술을 결합한 스마트 인프라 수출을 확대해 국내 기업의 해외시장 진출 경쟁력을 키워나가겠다고 밝혔다.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that it is holding the 'Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference (GICC) 2026' at Conrad Seoul from September 15 for three days.

Celebrating its 14th edition, the conference gathers around 500 key figures—including ministers and CEOs from 32 countries—under the main theme of AI infrastructure cooperation.

The government plans to link the event with the '1st Korea-Central Asia Summit' to sign memorandums of understanding on transport and city infrastructure.

The ministry stated it will expand smart infrastructure exports to boost the global competitiveness of domestic construction and tech firms.
