[영천/CTN]이수현 기자= 정유찬 영천시 농업기술센터소장은 "이번 행사는 도시민들에게 영천의 우수한 귀농·귀촌 환경 및 농촌체험 문화를 알리기 위한 것으로 실제 귀농을 준비하는 데 있어 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다"라며 "앞으로도 귀농을 희망하는 도시민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 바란다"라고 말했다.
경상북도 영천시는 지난 9월 2일과 9일 2회에 걸쳐 체류형농업창업지원센터에서 도시민을 대상으로 '나 영천 산다' 귀농캠프를 진행했다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 도시민들이 귀농·귀촌에 앞서 농촌 환경을 직접 경험해 볼 수 있도록 마련된 1박 2일 단기 체류형 프로그램이다.
교육생들은 포도농장 방문, 텃밭 수확 및 농산물 가공 체험, 센터 견학, 선배 귀농인 정착 사례 청취 등 현장 중심의 일정을 소화했다.
영천시는 매년 8월 신청을 받아 9월 중 캠프를 운영하고 있으며, 전입 1년 이내의 영천시민 및 귀농 희망 도시민을 대상으로 지원을 이어가고 있다.
영천시는 우수한 인프라와 교통 접근성을 바탕으로 인구 유입 및 농촌 활성화를 위한 귀농·귀촌 지원책을 확대할 방침이라고 밝혔다.
